Terms of Use

The website

The Eldoria Archives present a fictional universe created by riroxi_. Everything described here — countries, wars, characters, figures — is imaginary, even where it intersects with real history. The other languages available are translations; in the event of any discrepancies, the French text shall prevail.

Reading is free and open to all. By creating an account, posting a message or filing a document in a synchronised folder, you agree to these terms and conditions and the privacy policy.

Opening

You can create an account via Discord or using a link sent by email. It is a personal account. You must be aged 15 or over to create an account; younger users may do so with a parent’s consent.

Your username and profile picture are public: they appear alongside your posts. They must not impersonate anyone or be offensive. The moderator may ask you to change them.

What is welcome

Questions about the universe, inconsistencies that have been spotted, hypotheses, and well-reasoned answers. Please remain polite and stick to the topic of the page.

What is prohibited

— any content that is illegal, hateful, violent, discriminatory, pornographic or harassing;

— personal information about other people (address, telephone number, real identity, etc.);

— advertising, cold calling, misleading links, and the repetition of the same message;

— the unauthorised reproduction of protected works;

— attempts to circumvent the website’s technical limitations.

Your responsibility

You are responsible for what you post. By posting, you authorise the Archives to display your message on the website, free of charge, for as long as it remains online. Your ideas remain your own; should the author draw inspiration from them for the universe, they will do so without any obligation to you.

What archivists can do

Archivists may pin a useful post, hide a post that breaches these terms and, in the event of repeated or serious breaches, suspend an account: the account remains visible to its owner, but they can no longer post. These decisions are made on a case-by-case basis; you may ask riroxi_ on Discord for the reasons behind them.

To prevent abuse, an account cannot post more than 3 messages per minute.

To report unlawful content, please message riroxi_ on Discord, stating the page and the message.

The universe belongs to its creator

The world of Eldoria and all content on this website, excluding readers’ comments, are protected by copyright and are the property of riroxi_. Any reproduction or reuse without authorisation is prohibited. Short quotations, provided the source is cited, are permitted.

See the legal notice for further details.

Delete

You can delete your account at any time via ‘My space’. Deletion is immediate and permanent: it will remove your profile, your messages and your folder. Any answers other readers may have provided to your questions will also be deleted.

In the event of a serious breach, the archivist may delete an account.

Availability, amendments, applicable law

The website is provided ‘as is’, with no guarantee of availability. It may change, be suspended or be taken offline.

These terms and conditions are subject to change; the current version is dated at the top of the page, and significant changes are noted in the change log. You will be asked to accept the new version before publishing again.

These terms and conditions are governed by French law.
