Eldoria National Archives

Legal notice

And privacy policy — version of 29 October 2026

The Eldoria Archives are an amateur, non-commercial website. This page says who publishes them, who hosts them, and what they do — and do not do — with your data.

I

Publisher

Person responsible for publication

The site is published on a personal, non-professional basis by riroxi_ (pen name), author of the Eldoria universe. Under Article 1-1, II of French Law No. 2004-575 of 21 June 2004 on confidence in the digital economy (LCEN), a non-professional publisher may remain anonymous: his name and address are not shown here, but his real identity and contact details have been given to the site's host (Netlify, below), which may only disclose them by court order.

Contact: riroxi_ on Discord, or the site's Questions and discussions area.

The site sells nothing, shows no advertising and receives no payment.

To report unlawful content or a problem: the « Signaler un bug » (report a bug) button at the bottom of the pages, or riroxi_ on Discord, giving the page concerned. Reports are read and dealt with as quickly as possible.

Copyright

The Eldoria universe

The Eldoria universe — its history, characters, maps, data, documents and texts — is an original creation of riroxi_, protected by copyright. The universe was created on 26 January 2026.

Any reproduction or reuse, in whole or in part, without the author's prior permission is prohibited. Short quotations, with the document's reference (« Cite » button), are welcome.

Map outlines come from Natural Earth, in the public domain. The fonts are under the SIL Open Font License, whose text is supplied with them. Charts use Chart.js and accounts use the Supabase library (MIT open-source licences).

The illustrations, portraits, seals and maps were made for the site. No image, text or music belonging to someone else is used without the right to do so. If you believe an item infringes your rights, report it (see above): it will be removed without delay where appropriate.

Eldoria is a fictional world. Its countries, characters and events are invented, even when they sit alongside real places, dates or facts; any resemblance to real persons is coincidental.

IV

Personal data processed

Data controller

The data controller is the publisher, riroxi_. Reading the site requires no data: no sign-up, no cookie, no advertising tracker. Personal data is processed only if you create an account to take part in the questions area, or if you accept the reader card.

What is processed, why, and for how long

Reader card, if you accept it: a random identifier, the name you give it, pages read, time spent, dates, and your account if you sign inFollowing reader loyalty and how the site is usedConsent (Art. 6(1)(a)), which can be withdrawn at any timeVisits: 25 months; card with no visit or account: erased after 13 months; consent asked again after 13 months

The reader card

On your first visit, a banner offers it to you; if you do not answer or refuse, your pages are counted with no identifier at all. If you accept, a randomly drawn identifier is stored in your browser and goes with each page read: the archivists then see your visits, their length and the pages read, under the name you choose (optional). If you sign in later, the card joins your account, along with its history.

To withdraw it: Settings → « Reader card ». Unticking it erases the card and all its visits. « My data », in My space, downloads them. Deleting your account erases them too.

What the site does not do

It does not sell, rent or hand over any data. It does no advertising profiling, no advertising and no automated decision-making. The « online » counter keeps nothing: each open tab only reports the page being read, when it arrived, whether it is a computer or a mobile, whether it is signed in (without saying who) and the theme chosen; the archivists see this list live, and everything disappears as soon as the tab is closed. You can opt out in Settings (« Online » counter).

Your rights

What you can do yourself

In My space, at the top right of every page:

— correct: change your username and picture;

— get your data: « Download my data » produces a file with your profile, your messages, your folder and what the site keeps in your browser;

— erase: « Delete my account » erases the account, profile, messages and folder, permanently.

Your other rights

You also have the rights of access, objection and restriction provided for by the GDPR. To exercise them, or if an action in My space does not work, write to riroxi_ on Discord: you will get an answer within one month at most.

If you believe your rights are not respected, you can lodge a complaint with the CNIL, the French data protection authority (cnil.fr); if you live in another EU country, you may also contact that country's data protection authority.

Minimum age

Accounts are open from the age of 15. Below that, a parent's consent is required.
